White-Throated Capuchin Monkeys
White-Throated Capuchin Monkeys are a common species in Costa Rica and other parts of Central America. These monkeys are often trained, and accompany organ players on the street. They are extremely intelligent, and often use tools to eat, defend themselves and make shelter. White-Throated Capuchin Monkeys have been known to live for 54 years. While they are mainly arboreal, the White-Throated Capuchin finds itself on the ground floor more often than other species. Male White-Throats tend to migrate between different social groups in an area during their lifetimes, while females normally stay together.
